Avicenna

Islamic philosopher and physician, of Persian origin. Avicenna earned a reputation as a healer by curing a ruler of critical illness. His book, The Cannon of Medicine, contains his own theoretical and empirical observations of the healing properties of herbs and essential oils from plants. Therefore the name and history of Avicenna has been used as a salon name to educate and validate aromatherapy products.
